All of these changes are in line with Government guidelines and are to make your visit to us as safe as possible for everyone.

We will contact you the day before your appointment to complete a Covid-19 questionnaire.

In between confirming and appointment and your attendance, if you have developed any symptoms however mild, which may indicate the presence of Covid-19 (new continuous cough, loss of taste or smell or a temperature of 37.8° or over) please telephone the practice before attendance.

Wherever possible, you should travel to the practice for your appointment alone. If you are travelling with someone, they should wait in the car or outside.

Upon arriving at the practice, you should wait in your car, and call reception or wave through the window to advise of your arrival. If you are arriving on foot, there are chairs situated outside of the practice to wait. In case of inclement weather, we will advise accordingly. Once the surgery is prepared for your arrival, reception will call you or wave to you to ask you to approach the front door.

You will be greeted at the front door by our receptionist, who will be wearing full PPE. Please do not be alarmed by this.

Before you step inside the practice your temperature will be taken by using a thermal imaging unit held at your forehead.

At this point, you will be given a mask (if you do not already have one) and asked to put it on and you will be directed to use hand sanitiser. We will then give you a clear plastic bag to take to the surgery for you to put your mask in during treatment.

Please leave any personal belongings such as your coat, purse, bag, or phone etc in your car or at home. If, however this is unavoidable, we will ask you to place them in a plastic box to avoid any risk of cross-contamination.

The nurse or receptionist will escort you to the surgery, where the team will be waiting for your arrival. Both the dentist and nurse will look vastly different to what you have been used to due to the different PPE they will be wearing but don’t worry, it is still us underneath!  This is to safeguard all of us.

At the end of your appointment, you will then be asked to place your face covering back on and sanitise your hands again.

If you require further appointments, they will be made at reception. If for any reason this is not possible, we will contact you at home to arrange these.  If we have not asked to take payment prior to your arrival, we will also do this at reception.

The receptionist will then come round and see you out.

The team will guide you through the entire process.
